As a lifelong athlete, I have always been an advocate for health and nutrition,

I was in the middle of triathlon season, with a couple big races approaching. In addition, I was planning to train for my first ironman distance race the following
year, and knew that I needed a way to get me through the months of long, rigorous

As far as the ironman….I was unable to complete the race last year as I was seriously
injured early last season. In May of 2007, I was struck by a car while cycling. I suffered a compression fracture in my lower vertebrae which sidelined me for
the entire season and left me with a 10% permanent total disability. Normally, an injury of this nature and magnitude would have required surgery
to correct, or at the very least, months of back braces and physical therapy. I was able to heal extremely quickly with no surgery or therapy and very little
medical attention. My orthopedic specialist was in awe! I am convinced that Usana’s nutritional supplements were a key factor in my healing
so completely and quickly and getting back in the game. I am again training for the ironman, which will take place on October 25th!
